Cookie Policy

1. Introduction
RoboCircuit Inc. ("RoboCircuit," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on robocircuit.pro (the "Site"). This Cookie Policy explains what these technologies are, why we use them, how long they persist and how you can control your preferences.
This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal information more broadly under PIPEDA and Quebec Law 25.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites function, remember preferences and understand how visitors interact with content. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage and pixel tags. In this policy, "cookies" refers to cookies and comparable browser-storage mechanisms unless stated otherwise.
3. How we use cookies
We group cookies into three categories:
3.1 Strictly necessary
These cookies are essential for the Site to operate. They enable core functions such as security, network management and accessibility. Because the Site cannot function properly without them, strictly necessary cookies do not require consent under Canadian privacy guidance — though we still disclose them here for transparency.
Examples on our Site:
- rc_cookie_consent (local storage) — stores your cookie preference choices so the banner does not reappear on every visit. Duration: up to six (6) months.
- Session identifiers — if used by our hosting stack for load balancing or CSRF protection, these expire when you close your browser.
3.2 Analytics
Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the Site — which pages are viewed, how long sessions last and whether navigation paths reveal usability issues. We use this information in aggregated form to improve content and structure. Analytics cookies are optional and are placed only if you click "Accept all" or enable Analytics in "Customise."
Potential vendors (enabled only with consent):
- Plausible Analytics or comparable privacy-oriented analytics — collects anonymized page-view data without cross-site tracking. Typical retention: twenty-six (26) months for aggregated reports. No advertising profiles are created.
If no analytics vendor is active, this category stores no additional cookies beyond your consent record.
3.3 Preferences
Preference cookies remember choices that customize your experience — for example, dismissing informational notices or remembering display settings. These are optional and require consent. Duration: up to six (6) months unless you clear browser storage earlier.
4. Consent management
When you first visit the Site, a cookie banner offers three choices:
- Accept all — enables strictly necessary, analytics and preference storage for up to six months
- Reject all — enables only strictly necessary storage (including your rejection preference)
- Customise — opens a panel where you toggle Analytics and Preferences individually
Your choice is stored in local storage under the key rc_cookie_consent for up to six (6) months, after which the banner will appear again. Consent is not pre-selected; optional categories remain disabled until you affirmatively opt in, consistent with Quebec Law 25 privacy-by-default expectations.
5. How to change or withdraw consent
You may update preferences at any time by:
- Clearing site data / local storage for robocircuit.pro in your browser settings, then revisiting the Site to see the banner again
- Using browser controls to block third-party or all cookies (note: blocking strictly necessary storage may affect Site functionality)
- Contacting [email protected] to request assistance
Withdrawing analytics consent stops new analytics events; previously aggregated data may remain in non-identifiable report form.
6. Browser controls
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies. Consult your browser's help documentation:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Mobile device users can adjust tracking preferences in iOS Settings (Privacy → Tracking) or Android Settings (Google → Ads).
7. Do Not Track
Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. There is no uniform industry standard for responding to DNT. We treat absence of analytics consent the same as a preference not to be tracked for optional analytics purposes.
8. Third-party content
Our Site primarily uses first-party cookies. If we embed third-party content (for example, a maps widget or video), those providers may set their own cookies. We minimize third-party embeds to reduce tracking surface. Review third-party policies when interacting with embedded content.
9. Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add services, change vendors or respond to legal developments. The "Last updated" date will change accordingly. Material updates will be posted on this page.
